"I present to you, 'At Peace', our first ever Christmas Song. I wrote this about finding inner peace of mind during the holiday season, which is a time that can often be stressful and hectic for many. I thought about the past 3 Christmases, during which I was going through a lot of personal struggles. We had moved across the country, and were going through many personal and family issues, including myself, Dom, and Brendan's mother battling cancer. This year, I am finally at peace with where I am in my life. The important thing for me was being with family and friends, no matter where in the world I was.
Shaun is currently out of bass playing commission due to an injury, so Brendan stepped in and played bass. Shaun did supply plenty of eggnog and general holiday cheer while we were recording at his house, so all was not lost.
In addition, our friend Alex Wagner supplied mandolin and vocals during the outro that you'll hear at the end of the song.
